Jennifer Mahoney is the deserving recipient of the Ignite Passion Award at EOMS for her exceptional ability to transform the learning environment and spark enthusiasm in students and colleagues. Her creative approach to teaching science captivates sixth grade students through hands-on learning experiences that make complex concepts accessible and exciting.

Jennifer's passion extends beyond traditional instruction through her development of a brand-new elective: Design Thinking Engineering, where students tackle real-world engineering challenges including bridge building, mousetrap cars, and military supply drops.

As science department lead, she mentors colleagues and elevates instructional practices, while her role as Academic Team Lead demonstrates her commitment to supporting all students' academic growth in her grade level.
