The Oldham County Board of Education Resource Center is housed at the Oldham County Schools Arts Center. It is open year round and is available for use by educators and the general public. Summer hours are Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm.
During the school year, hours shift to accomodate teacher's needs. During the week, the Resource Center can be used Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m and 9am-noon on Saturday.
For those of you that are unfamiliar with the Resource Center, it was founded in 1991. It's a non-profit facility whose primary purpose is providing a location for the creation of instructional projects to enhance the education of children.
In addition, the Resource Center is open to local civic organizations, churches, indivduals, and businesses for the development of projects and presentations. Many supplies are provided free of charge and users may bring their own materials to use with the die cutting equipment. Other services and paper products may be purchased such as bulletin board paper, construction paper, comb binding, laminating, color posters and banners, pin-back buttons and key chains.
