Meet the Librarian

Mrs. Bailey and First Grade Student

Library Media Specialist/School Technology Coordinator, Jessica Bailey

I started my teaching journey at Harmony Elementary School in 2008.  I taught kindergarten, first grade, and second grade... and loved every minute of it!  In August of 2019, I was hired to be the new Library Media Specialist (LMS) and School Technology Coordinator (STC) for Harmony.

I grew up in Oldham County.  I attended Centerfield Elementary School and Oldham County High School.

I graduated from Bellarmine University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education and received my Master's in Teaching from Bellarmine in Waldorf Education.  In 2013, I received my National Board Certification for Teaching in Literacy Education. I am currently working on my second Master's in Library Media Education at Murray State University.

I have been married for 5 wonderful years to my husband Mac, who also happens to be my best friend, and we an amazing son. We live in Oldham County.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, enjoying the outdoors, swimming, and traveling. My hobbies include reading and scrapbooking.
