Courtney Curran, Intervention Coordinator & Interventionist

Hi Harmony families! My name is Courtney Curran and I am the Intervention Coordinator, as well as an interventionist for Harmony.

After receiving my bachelor's degree at the University of Kentucky, and then my master's at the University of Louisville, I joined the Harmony family in 2008 where I have worked in a variety of roles over the past 14 years. I spent the first seven years of my career teaching 3rd and 4th grade (2 years of a 3rd / 4th split room, and then 5 years of 4th grade). After having children of my own, I moved to a part-time position, serving as Harmony’s Intervention Coordinator, as well as the Math Coach for two years. Last year, I returned full-time as an Intervention Coordinator. I have loved this opportunity to work more closely with the teachers, as well as working more closely with students in the small-group setting to achieve their personal academic goals.

While I was not born in Kentucky, my family moved here when I was still very young and I have called Oldham County my home for over thirty years now. I loved growing up in this community and am honored that I am now able to serve and give back to the same community that shaped who I am. My husband and I celebrated 14 years of marriage this year. We have three children: 8-year-old twin boys and a 5-year-old daughter. You can find us outside in our free time - riding bikes, running, playing baseball, or curled up reading!

It is an honor being part of Harmony’s community and I’m looking forward to another year serving our Huskies and staff.
