Sports & Extracurricular Activities

Goshen Elementary provides a variety of extracurricular activities for its students! Below you will find information about each of them.

Academic Team

Students that qualify for this team will have the opportunity to compete individually in written assessments in the following areas: mathematics, science, language arts, social studies, arts & humanities, and composition. Team events include quick recall and future problem solving. (Grade 5)

Art with the Artist

Students explore their creative side through a variety of artistic mediums and projects. (Grades 3-5)


Students have the opportunity to work on their basketball skills (regardless of their experience) and participate in an intramural format. (Grade 5)

Beginning Strings

Students learn the basics of playing a string instrument. (Grade 5)


Students learn the basics of playing the game of chess. (Grades K-5)


A wonderful activity to be involved in with a variety of creative and performance opportunities with singing, instruments and more! (Grades 4 & 5)

Climbing Club

Students learn the basic rock climbing skills. Students will boulder, climb vertical, belay, assist, climb high ropes course, and tie knots. The climbing activities are an extension of what they learn in physical education class.(Grade 5)

Drama Club

This activity is designed to extend students' knowledge of the theater and theater arts, including acting, set design and simple costume and prop construction. (Grades 4 & 5)

Gator Government

Gator Government engages students in the democratic process while students serve as ambassadors and leaders in school programs and activities. (Grades 3-5)

Girls Who Code

Part of a national non-profit organization working to close the gender gap in technology. Girls will learn coding and computer science skills while also building self-confidence. . (Grades 3-5)


Students develop coordination, strength, flexibility, discipline and self-confidence, and receive instruction on tumbling, vaulting, balance beam, and bars. (K-5).

Soccer Shots

Students learn basic soccer skills while also focusing on character development. (K-2).


Students learn basic tennis skills. (K-5).

Ultimate Frisbee

Students learn the art of frisbee throwing and how to play the ultimate game. (Grades 4 & 5)
