Melinda Nevills

Melinda Nevills, CounselorMy name is Melinda Nevills and I'm beginning my 9th year of counseling at Goshen. I completed 20 years of education in the state of Georgia as a counselor and special education teacher prior to moving to Kentucky in 2007. I am very passionate about what I do and I find new things to love about my career every year!

My husband Tracy and I adopted our daughter Annabelle from Kunming, China in 2009. She is a proud Goshen Gator 5th Grader! We are also huge animal lovers, with three cats and one dog. As far as hobbies go, you will almost always find me with a book in my hand, or in the kitchen cooking for my family.

My personal philosophy of education is simple.  Meet children where they are and help them overcome any obstacles they face to reach their potential. It is truly a joy to share this journey with them as it unfolds.  I look forward to a great school year!

Hi, there! My name is Nikki Snow and I’m so excited to be a part of the Goshen family! My husband and I have two daughters that have been attending Goshen for a few years, and I am thrilled to be able to join them as a Gator! This year they will be in 1st and 3rd grade. This is my 9th year as a School Counselor, serving the last four in the Oldham County School system.

I grew up in Columbus, Indiana and moved to the Louisville area for college a "few" years ago.  I received both my undergraduate degree and my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of Louisville.  GO CARDS!

In my spare time (is that a thing?) I enjoy reading, spending time at the lake/river, attending concerts, and anything to do with home decorating and design.  When I grow up, I want to be an HGTV star.  I'm still waiting for their call.

I am so thankful to be able to serve your children, and have a career that I love. The satisfaction I receive when helping a child feel better about whatever situation they are experiencing (from small to big) is so rewarding. I believe it is our job as educators to shine the light on the brilliance, strengths, and talent that is in EVERY child.

This is sure to be another great school year at Goshen Elementary! I look forward to meeting all of you!
