The staff at Camden Station want to thank you for another wonderful year! Be sure to read, write and practice math this summer every chance you get! We’ll see you back in August!


Morning Car Rider Reminder: As the school year comes to an end, please remember to follow the car rider traffic flow, and stay in the car rider line.  If you have an extenuating circumstance, and need to get out of the car rider line, please park in a designated Camden parking spot, and walk your student(s) all the way to the front door.  It is not permissible to park in a Camden or SOMS parking spot and send your student(s) across the parking lot by themselves.  This is for the safety of everyone, especially your child.  Thank you for following these procedures and keeping your child and the Camden staff safe at morning drop off.  

 

Medication Pick-Up: Please plan to pick up all emergency, daily, and as needed medications on Wednesday, May 25th from 2:30-3:30 PM, and Thursday, May 26th from 11-2:30 PM.  If medications are not picked up by June 30th they will be disposed of.  Thank you!

 

Oldham County Schools are Hiring! There are several positions, both classified and certified for which the school district is currently hiring.  Please see the OC Job Board (https://www.applitrack.com/oldham/onlineapp/) to apply! Oldham County Schools is a GREAT place to work!

 

Counseling Corner: Please see the attached document for information from our school counselor, Mrs. Goodrich.

 

Do you know a Camden staff member who went above and beyond for your student? We want your input as to who is going out of their way to provide exceptional opportunities for your child!  It could be office staff, bus drivers, custodial staff or instructional staff.  Provide details about one of “Camden’s Soaring Eagles” and we will anonymously share it with everyone!  Email your thoughts to dana.corson@oldham.kyschools.us.  

 

Library News: The BIG book giveaway continues this week.  Make sure the book your student brought home to KEEP has the barcode removed or covered (by a staff member), indicating that it is no longer part of the library collection.

 

 5th Grade Parents:  Use this We Video LINK or Google Drive LINK to see the 5th Grade slideshow from the promotion ceremony.

 

Yearbook News: Any student who ordered a yearbook will receive it on the last day of school.  Contact www.TreeRing.com if you have question about your order. 

 

 OC Arts Center Summer Camps: Please see the attached flyer for the offerings for Summer Camp through OC Arts Center. 

 

SOHS Basketball Camp: Please see the attached flyer for more information on SOHS Boys Summer Basketball Camp.

 

Summer Meals Program Details: The summer meals program is a federal program. Due to changes at the federal level, we are no longer able to offer Grab & Go, delivery, parent pick-up, or multi-day meals. We are dedicated to still serving children and the community, and we plan to serve meals in the LaGrange Elementary Lunch Room from June 6th – July 29th. We will be closed on July 4th. Breakfast will be 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM and Lunch will be 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Meals must be consumed on-site, and children can take one fruit, vegetable, or grain item to eat later offsite. 

 Meals are free for children and teens ages 18 and under. Adult meals are $2.90 for breakfast and $4.85 for lunch. No application or registration required! Meals provided are always healthy, tasty and follow USDA’s nutrition guidelines.

PTO Board 2022-2023: Please congratulate our newest board member Melissa Lilly who will be taking on the position of treasurer! Also, Amanda Gomsak will be transitioning the position of VP of Fundraising next year as well! Congratulations to both of these ladies as they take on new and exciting endeavors!  End of the year: This has been a fantastic year and we are hoping for an even more fabulous 2022-2023 with the return of walkathon, trunk or treat, back to school, talent show, and many more fun activities! We will be meeting in July and early August so what our FB for updates throughout the summer! Have a fabulous summer!!
