This FREE Arts for All Kentucky* grant-funded Side by Side program is designed to offer a creative outlet for students with disabilities, reinforce inclusiveness and positive self-image, and highlight the importance of arts education in the development of our youth. This year’s program will be a series of four classes focusing on ceramics and self portraits made with clay. Students will have the opportunity to work on the wheel, hand build, glaze and write a personal artist statement.
Each student will be paired with a local artist, with whom they will work side by side to create a collaborative work of art. For more information please call the Arts Center.
