Ashley Pearson

Ashley Ferry Pearson is a dance instructor for the Arts Center. She is a resident of Louisville, a graduate of the Youth Performing Arts School at Manual High School, a Summa Cum Laude graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science degree as well as a recipient of a Master’s degree in gifted and talented education from the University of Louisville. She is proud to have been a member of the national champion University of Louisville Ladybirds Dance Team for four years and was honored to be selected by Dance Masters of the Bluegrass as their 2009 Miss Dance. Ashley is a 2007 alumnus of the Governor’s School for the Arts where she majored in ballet. She was crowned the 2008 Miss Kentucky’s Outstanding Teen, winning the top talent award, competed at Miss America’s Outstanding Teen, and has been a three time top 5 finalist at Miss Kentucky.  Ashley currently teaches in the Jefferson County School System and continues to pursue her love of dance though her teaching of dance at the Oldham County Arts Center. Working also as a freelance instructor and choreographer, she was recently honored to choreograph a lyrical dance routine for “Miss Indiana’s” talent performance at Miss America.
