This number is the grades you earn in your classes divided by the number of credits you take. We have two grading scales at South Oldham High School. One is for unweighted GPA, while the other is for weighted GPA. A weighted GPA only come from taking AP courses. We do not have D's. Anything below a 70% is an F. Below are the two scales:

Grading Scale
A-- 100-90%
B-- 89-80%
C-- 79-70%
F-- 69% and below
Here is an example:
English 1 1 credit 89% = 1 x 3= 3 points
Algebra 1 1 credit 72% = 1 x 2= 2 points
Biology 1 credit 97% = 1 x 4 = 4 points
AP Geography 1 credit 92% = 1 x 5 = 5 points
Drama 1 credit 89% = 1 x 3 = 3 points
Spanish 1 1 credit 79% = 1 x 2 = 2 points
General Art 1 credit 99% = 1 x 4 = 4 points
