Julie Baustien is certified in special education K-12 and has a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. She has been working on the North Campus since 1997 at both North Oldham Middle and/or North Oldham High school, where she has served as a collaborative and resource language arts teacher, a team leader,  and speech-language therapist.  At NOHS she also chairs  the United Way campaign.  Before coming to Oldham County, Mrs. Baustien worked for the Shelby County School System, Easter Seals and Seven Counties Services as a speech-language therapist.  In the community, Mrs. Baustien has been a reader for the Audio Studio for the Blind, chairman of the YWC Charities Group, raising money for many local charities, and a parent volunteer for numerous sports-team related activities. Currently, she volunteers time to a Silver Tea Ministry, providing teas, flowers and encouragement to women and families impacted by cancer.  Mrs. Baustien enjoys reading, painting, golf and is an avid University of Kentucky fan.
