FCCLA News:  FCCLA will meet after school Wednesday, April 22 in room 201. 

 

Attention students and parents in Fit for Life next year: There will be a parent meeting on Wednesday, April 22nd, at the Oldham County Schools Arts Center from 5:30 until 6:30.  Attendance at the meeting is especially critical this year because the dates, curriculum and location will be finalized by then (decision is pending on make-up days for OC). Any questions should be directed to Jackie Howell (jackie.howell@oldham.kyschools.us

 

Attention Beta students:  The candle fundraising orders were due last Friday, April 13.  However, I am extending the deadline until April 24.  Please turn any orders that you have in to Mrs. Law ASAP.

Stammtisch Announcement: The Stammtisch Abschlussfeier will be Tuesday, 28 April in room 207.  All members should plan on attending.  Members of Mannschaft Berlin need to see Herr Effingham before Friday, 24 April.

 

Oldham County Project Graduation - next planning meeting - April 27th, 7pm, SOHS library.  Please plan to come and help plan this county-wide, safe, and free graduation event for all county high school graduates of 2015!

 

Mu Alpha Theta Announcement: Are you interested in Actuarial Science? Or not sure what an Actuary does? Mu Alpha Theta invites you to find out on April 28th after school in room 218. You do not need to be a member to attend. See Mrs. Holder in room 216 if you have any questions.

Choir Department Flower Sale: SOHS Choir Department has begun their annual spring flower sale.  See a member of the choir department or talk with Mr. Romney for an order form and purchase your spring time flowers while supporting choral music in Crestwood!

 

Parking News:  All students who park on campus must have a parking permit, park only in a parking spot (not on the grass or concrete slab by band tower), and not in the visitor’s row.  The parking lot will be checked regularly, and if you are parked without a permit or in an area that is not designated for student parking you will be towed or booted.

 

ATTENTION SOHS STUDENTS AND PARENTS:  Remember to check the SOHS Guidance Web page @ http://sohsguidance.weebly.com/enrichment-opportunities.html to find a variety of Enrichment activities and Opportunities.  This page will be updated regularly so check in often.

 

Electronic Device Reminder: Please leave your Nintendo devices at home.  Using them at school causes the wireless network to fail.

 

ESS schedule: Tuesday – English and Science; Wednesday – Math; Thursday – English, Math, and Social Studies.  Foreign language must be scheduled with the teacher.

 

College Visit Policy: ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS & PARENTS:  If you are planning on using a college visit please remember that you need to submit a request in writing from a parent/guardian to the attendance office no later than a week prior to the first day of absence.   Juniors you are allowed 1 college visit and seniors you are allowed 2 college visits.   If you do not submit your request to the attendance office a week prior to the first day of absence you not be eligible to use your allocated College Visit days.  Also remember that College Visitation Policy follows the same as the OCBE Vacation Policy which may not be used before or after an extended break such as three-day weekends and holiday breaks.
