| South Oldham High School was listed as one of the nation’s top high schools for 2009 in both the U.S. News and World Report and Newsweek magazines. Those honors don’t come without much hard work from parents, students and teachers. South Oldham is blessed to have so many parents who are willing to give of their time and money to better the entire school, not just their own child. It is not unusual to see parents dropping off goodies for the staff, chaperoning field trips, working in the flower beds, collecting money during a ballgame, transporting band instruments, working the concession stand, judging a competition, working a fundraiser/event, decorating a hallway, selling spirit wear, etc, etc, etc. The students and staff benefit greatly from the collective hours put into school by the parents. |
