Oldham County Project Graduation 2015 planning meeting is Monday, March 30th at 7:00 pm in the South Oldham High School Library.
Come to our meeting or send us an email to say you want to volunteer to:
· Donate cash, prizes, or gift certificates
· Help Decorate and/or take down decorations at the school
· Work the night of the event: Man the tables: games, cards, prizes, outdoor volleyball, rock climbing wall, kitchen prep and serve, security/door monitor
· Donate Food or Drinks for Volunteers
· Help with Correspondence/Mailings
We need Volunteers to make this a very special (and safe night) for ALL graduates in Oldham County!! Volunteers come from parents, guardians, family members and friends of all Oldham County elementary, middle and high schools.

Driver’s Permit Test Announcement: The guidance office will be closed Spring Break week – April 6-10. If your student will be taking their Driver’s Permit Test that week, you will need to call the guidance office before April 2 to request your School Compliance Verification Form (No Pass, No Drive) and stop by the office before April 2 to pick up the form. Please allow 24 hours for processing.

Wrestling Team Mulch Sale ANNOUNCEMENT: The South Oldham High School Wrestling Team is having their annual mulch sale to raise funds for the program We offer free delivery within 15 miles from SOHS on orders of 10 bags or more. We have three delivery dates, March 29, April 19, and April 26, so pick the one that fits your schedule. SOHS-Vaudeville and Art Show: Enter your act now for the SOHS Vaudeville Talent Show, March 31st at the Oldham Country Arts Center. Winners will received cash prizes. All participants are eligible to win 2 Kenny Chesney concert tickets at the YUM center on April 17th. Everyone who attends the show will also be entered to win 2 tickets! Join the show or come out and support SOHS on March 31st. Sign-up sheets are available in the school office and several days during lunch in the lobby. If it’s entertaining, it’s Vaudeville!
OCS ‘Why Do You Love Your School Lunch’ CONTEST: Do you love your school’s lunch? Then this one’s for you! OCS wants to know why you love your school lunch by creating any piece of media that inspires you. There will be one first place among the 3 high schools! Additionally, there will be a chance for prizes to be awarded at each school throughout the month. The deadline is March 31st. Please see the attached flyer for details.
SOHS Parking NEWS: Students should not be parking in the Visitors row of parking, if so you will be booted or towed. Students must be parked in a parking spot, not on the grass, not in front of the band tower, and not on the concrete slab by the band tower. If you are not parked in a parking spot, you will be towed or booted. It will be a priority to check the lot more, and if you are illegally parked and or parked without a parking pass, you will be booted or towed!

College Visit Policy: ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS & PARENTS: If you are planning on using a college visit please remember that you need to submit a request in writing from a parent/guardian to the attendance office no later than a week prior to the first day of absence. Juniors you are allowed 1 college visit and seniors you are allowed 2 college visits. If you do not submit your request to the attendance office a week prior to the first day of absence you not be eligible to use your allocated College Visit days. Also remember that College Visitation Policy follows the same as the OCBE Vacation Policy which may not be used before or after an extended break such as three-day weekends and holiday breaks.
