PRESCHOOL POLICY COUNCIL

AGENDA

September 24, 2010  Oldham County Preschool Multi-Purpose Room 
    (child care and light meal available)

1. Welcome; Review work of the Policy Council, Head Start Governance –review PC roles and responsibilities materials  

Governance Training – see attached agenda
Determine when to elect Policy Council officers per Policy Council By-Laws

2. Review Budgets and Expenditure Reports

Report on 2010/2011 budget – issues and concerns

Expenditure Reports (Kentucky Preschool, Head Start including Non-Federal Share) – distributed at the meeting

Ask questions for clarification as needed

3. Review Work/Suggestions/Questions from Parent Committees

Council determines the structure of the Parent Committees; identifies a Council member to present information from each Parent Committee

Report from the Health Advisory Committee meeting – 9/17/2010

4. Approve Staff Changes –  Review proposed staff changes; approve as appropriate
 
5. Report from Coordinators - each month several staff will prepare individual reports for the PC on activities/issues related to the Preschool

Regular Coordinator Reports will begin at the November Policy Council Meeting

6. Set Policy Council Priorities; Address/discuss Concerns - additional concerns/interests will be set at future meetings including during the governance training.

Review Program Policies – First review of new Personnel Policy 

Review and discuss the RTI Plan; this plan is required under Kentucky Regulations

7. Adjourn  - Next meeting November 18, 2010; 5:30 – 7:00 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Preschool
Child care and a light meal will be available; contact Denise Armor if you need child care for the meeting
