Fall is finally here and for those who like the cool weather, it couldn’t happen quickly enough.  Fall weather brings with it some challenges here at OCMS.  As the temperature drops, students become more lax about what they wear to school.  I want to remind parents and students that the OCMS dress code remains in effect even when the temperature outside requires a jacket or sweater.  The tendency is to wear a jacket or sweater to school and then remove in once here many time revealing outfits that are not dress code appropriate.  If you or your child has questions about the dress code and what is appropriate to wear please don’t hesitate to ask a staff member or consult the school webpage for specifics.

Students at OCMS will continue their physical activity outside even when the weather gets colder.  This makes it imperative that a student have the appropriate jacket or sweater to wear as they head out for Wellness period.

The end of the first nine week grading period is upon us.  Report cards will be distributed to your child on October 14^th.  I encourage you to review your child’s grades and contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.  Please remember that fall break is October 19^th through the 23^rd.  I wish everyone a very restful and exciting week off.
