Library Books: All library books are due. Please turn them in as soon as possible. Seniors, you must turn in all books to walk across the stage in graduation.

May 16 – 4th period (part A/Seniors Only)
May 17 – 4th period (part B/Seniors Only)
May 20 – 1st and 6th period finals (All)
May 21 – 2nd and 7th period finals (All)
May 22 – 4th period final (part A/Underclassmen) and 5th period (All)
May 23 – 4th period final (part B/Underclassmen) and 3rd period final (Seniors Only)
May 24 – 3rd period final (underclassmen)
May 28 – 5th period final (underclassmen)
Summer School Information
Summer School prescriptions and/or PLATO contracts are due to teachers by May 28.
Summer school is June 3rd - 21st 8:30-12:30
* Attendance: 2 absences are allowed, however, advanced notice is appreciated A student may not return to Summer School after a second absence
* Tardy: Only 3 tardies are allowed and will count as one absence. All students must be in the classroom or with a Summer School teacher by 8:30 a.m.

Congratulations to these students for their efforts in entering this years Governors School for the Arts program. Accepted students were: Hayla Ragland in visual art and Shelbi Schooler in musical theatre. An alternate position was earned by Ellie Miller in instrumental music. 2013 Graduation Information - Important - Please Read:
Graduation is a photo opportunity!! You have two options this year to capture the moment!
- A seated portrait in your cap and gown the morning of practice in the gym on Tuesday, May 28th. Remember to bring your cap & gown to practice!! (pricing at Yearbook Party)
- A photograph of you as you walk across the stage during the ceremony on Saturday, June 1st (a pricing envelope will be provided at practice)
Photo package options for the seated portraits range in pricing from $10 - $50. Bring money on May 28th with checks made out to Signature Studios. You’ll get an envelope on May 28th for ceremony pictures taken on the stage on June 1st.
You may also purchase the Senior Wave video + graduation for $25 (more information later)
ALL STUDENT FEES MUST BE PAID IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMENCEMENT!
If you do not plan to participate in commencement or you have issues related to a cap/ gown, you need to talk with Mr. Jones or Ms. Dotson ASAP
You MUST be at practice in order to walk in graduation!!
Tuesday, May 28th - Graduation Practice @ OCHS – arrive by 9am
PARK IN THE BACK LOT!! (Arrive earlier if you want to have seated pictures taken that day) For those NOT participating in graduation – the Senior Walk will be at about 11:30.
Saturday, June 1st - Graduation Ceremony – Broadbent Arena
- 5:00 pm Graduates arrive at Broadbent Arena
- 6:00 pm Graduation Ceremony begins
- 11:00 pm Project Graduation at NOHS
*Parking will be about $8 at the gate so you may want to carpool.
Student Dress Code:
Females: Dresses with nice sandals or shoes – No Flip Flops
Males: Shirt and Tie with Dress Slacks and Dress Shoes – No Jeans or Tennis Shoes
Everyone: no collars with graduation robes, cap should have one point directly in front of forehead, tassels start on the right side of the cap.
Directions to Fairgrounds:
Option 1 – Take 71S to 264W. Take Exit 11 for Crittenden Drive. Follow signs for Fair/Expo Center.
Option 2 – Take 71S to 65S. Take Exit 132 to merge onto Crittenden Drive toward the Fair/Expo Center Gates 2-3-4. Turn Left at Industrial Ave. Turn Right at Circle of Champions. Take a slight left at Fairgrounds Road. Take the 1st left toward Fairgrounds Road. Take a slight right at Fairgrounds Road.
Where to Meet:
Graduates should follow signs for the staging area. Parents will take seats on a first come, first serve basis in the main arena.
Belongings:
Graduates should not bring purses, hangers, cameras, boxes of bobby pins, hair spray, or any other personal belongings that will not be able to fit in your pockets under your robe as there will not be anywhere to store these items. Leave all personal items with your family.

Accepted scholarships and military commitments will be read after the name of the student when recognized on stage at graduation. Please report the exact name of those scholarships accepted to Mr. Jones, Guidance Registrar (jay.jones@oldham.kyschools.us).
Scholarship dollar amounts offered to a students are also calculated for the Class of 2013. These offered scholarships dollar amounts should also be reported to Mr. Jones.
There will be a final SENIOR meeting held two weeks prior to the end of school. TBA At this meeting, Seniors will report where the guidance office should mail their FINAL TRANSCRIPT. Students will also have the opportunity to report additional scholarships. Details about graduation rehearsal and graduation day will be discussed.
Graduation rehearsal is MANDATORY and will be held starting at 9:00 on the last day of school (currently May 28, 2013 followed by the traditional Senior Walk. Graduation will be held at Louisville Broadbent Arena on June 1, 2013 starting at 6:00 pm with Project Graduation at North Oldham Middle School check-in starting at 11:00pm.
There are a few students who have not yet ordered their cap and gown. Those students need to contact Balfour or discuss with Ms. Dotson, Senior Sponsor/Graduation. (heather.dotson@oldham.kyschools.us)
