Principal's Letter to OCHS Parents - Student Progress Reports
For the past two years Oldham County High School has utilized continuous grading for all courses. Our purpose was to allow students and parents to view student grades at any time. In order for this to be a success, teachers are committed to updating grades on a regular basis. All students, parents and guardians now have daily access to grades using the parent portal component of Infinite Campus.
Infinite Campus is the computer grading systems utilized by Oldham County teachers. There is a link on the school web-site (https://infinitecampus.oldham.kyschools.us/campus/portal/oldham.jsp) which provides direction on how to access your child’s grades. A password is required and may be obtained in the Guidance Office by contacting Mr. Jones. If you are already using parent portal, you do not have to obtain a new password.
The capability of this technology allows Oldham County High School to “Go Green” in the area of student progress reports. Instead of OCHS printing out reports every three weeks, we are recommending that parents use the parent portal section of Infinite Campus to monitor student grades.
Those who do not have computer access have several options.
1.) Our library is open from 3:30 pm -4:30 pm Monday through Thursday and computers will be available for parent usage.
2.) Parents can also utilize computers at the LaGrange Branch of the Oldham County Library.
3.) If you prefer to have a printed copy of the progress report, please contact the Guidance office.
If you have any questions about this new initiative of your child’s grades, please do not hesitate to contact me or your child’s guidance counselor.
