I would like to take a moment and welcome each of you to Oldham County High School. Oldham County High School is located 18 miles northeast of Louisville, Kentucky. OCHS is home to 1443 students and 122 staff members. Our goal as a school is to offer an exciting and challenging curriculum for every student at OCHS. Students are held to high academic and social expectations and are encouraged to pursue a rigorous curriculum throughout their high school career. Upperclassmen are asked to declare a major upon entering their junior year. Our students have the opportunity to complete a minimum of 18 college credit hours prior to graduation. Socially, our students and staff are challenged to create a learning environment where every student learns at high levels. I encourage you to browse our website for information about our school, as well as upcoming events. As well, our Colonel Connection newsletter is e-mailed bi-weekly and provides information about athletic schedules, upcoming college visits, policy changes, student expectations, and helpful hints to make your contact with OCHS as simple as possible. To ensure we continue to communicate both efficiently and effectively, please make sure we have your e-mail address in Infinite Campus. As well, we would love for you to make us your home page. If after visiting our website you still can’t obtain the information you wish, please don’t hesitate to contact us at 502-222-9461. Go Colonels, Brent L. DeavesPrincipal Oldham County High School |

The Military Legacy is a leather bound book located in the Oldham County High School Library. This book contains short biographies and pictures of students, teachers, and staff who have ventured into the military. This Legacy Book is a start to a new tradition at OCHS. We are trying to find as many past students and faculty from OCHS that have entered the US Military as possible. And, we need your help. If you know anyone who is a past or present OCHS student, who has marched into the military, please get this information to them, and if possible, add them to our OCHS Military Legacy Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/172099602879411/. We want as many students turned soldiers in this Legacy Book as possible!

Please see Mrs. McHargue in the library if you have questions about your email account. If you are planning to bring a personal device, like a laptop or iPad, please fill out the form for bringing such a device to school. Prior to using laptops, all brands, including Macs, must have up-to-date virus protection and a recent scan run. Once the form has been turned in and the device inspected, a sticker will be given that indicates to staff that the device is approved to be on the network. At this time, we are having difficulties connecting student owned laptops. iPads and iPods are connecting.
