Steve Rauh

Mr. Rauh is in his 20th year of teaching reading and writing at the high school level and his tenth year at NOHS. Mr. Rauh has scored AP Literature and Composition exams for the College Board in his off time. Mr. Rauh utilizes his past  life experience as both a Marine Corps officer and as a District Executive with the Boy Scouts of America to incorporate real-life experiences into his classroom. He continues to manage and develop Creekside Landing Marina in Harrods Creek and to interact with a wide variety of personalities outside of school. Mr. Rauh was selected as the 2008 N.O.H.S. Teacher of the Year, which he considers his highest professional honor. Additionally, he was the recipient of the 2008 WHAS/E-on ExCEL Teaching Award for Oldham County. Mr. Rauh loves to learn and has earned several degrees: BA in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Spalding University, a Master of Arts in High School Guidance Counseling from Spalding University and an endorsement to teach English as a Second Language from Murray State University. Mr. Rauh loves exercise, reading, politics, tea and good conversation.
