Since its opening in 2003, North Oldham High School has consistently earned the reputation as one of the state's top performers on multiple academic measures. North's 2010 graduation class earned nearly $6 million in scholarships. NOHS offers a rigorous curriculum for all students with a particular strong commitment to AP classes in the sciences, mathematics, social studies, language arts and visual arts. Forty percent of the student body took an AP exam in May of 2009 earning an overall pass rate of 78%. Newsweek Magazine has ranked North Oldham as the #2 public high school in Kentucky each of the last two years. Our success can be attributed to the dedication, instructional skills, experience and professionalism of our teachers and the support and involvement of our students' parents. SCHOOL AWARDS/ TEACHER AWARDS: Newsweek Magazine ranked NOHS as the second best public high school in KY. One senior was selected as a National Merit Finalist and another received the National Achievement Award. Five students were chosen for the Governor's Scholars Program and two for the Governor's School for the Arts. The 2010 graduating class was awarded nearly $6 million in scholarship money. The boys' cross country team earned North Oldham's first team state championship.
