Locust Grove Elementary School staff is dedicated to providing a joyful learning environment that empowers children to reach their social, emotional, and educational potential by nurturing their self-confidence and self-esteem. We accomplish this through a comprehensive curriculum which is based on Kentucky and national standards and through the implementation of research-based instruction in all academic areas. Our students participate in a balanced approach to instruction through reading and writing workshops, use of thinking strategies across the curriculum, and access to the Minds in Motion program.
