Exceptional Children Services Parent Workshop: What is Section 504?

SPEAKER: Melissa Abernathy, Oldham County Schools 504 Coordinator Section 504 is a federal law that protects students with disabilities from being discriminated against at school. It requires the school to give your child the same opportunities as students without disabilities who go to school. The school does this through a “reasonable accommodation or modification.” Come and hear our district’s 504 coordinator talk about how 504 helps students in Oldham County Schools.

WHERE: Oldham County Annex Building 1900 Button Lane, La Grange, KY

WHEN: 6:00-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016
