The 100th Day of School
Students at Camden Station Elementary celebrated the 100th day of school this week! Kindergarten students celebrated by playing the math game, Race to 100, writing about it and sorting, organizing and noticing patterns among 100 items brought from home. Our students are 100 days smarter!
Camden Station Library has been updated!
Camden Station’s Library has had some updating! Mrs. Rataj, the Library Media Specialist created the transformative momentum by first applying for and acquiring an OCTI grant, which afforded her the purchase of multi-media work stations and touch screen monitors. These technological tools will permit the fluid use of the space for patrons and small group instruction. Mrs. Rataj also enlisted the help of the PTA. Together, they painted the library space a bright and cheery yellow, with accents of green and blue to match the Camden Station school colors. This project took nearly 70 hours and was conducted during free time over the winter break. The PTA funded the purchase of new library chairs, which replaced previous chairs that were worn, less functional and in need of repair. These cosmetic improvements have increased the effective use of the space and have promoted a welcoming climate. Thank you to our PTA and Library Media Specialist for helping make Camden an even better place to learn!
