Mrs. Allen's Fourth Graders Read Poppy

In conjunction with their current English Language Arts unit, Mrs. Allen’s fourth graders are reading Poppy, the fictional chapter book about a mouse who has to leave the comforts of home to lead out into the unknown world in an effort to save her family. In reader’s workshop, the students read the climax chapter of the novel recently and responded to a prompt to make predictions on how the conflict will be solved.
