Camden Station has several extracurricular opportunities for our students. Each activity not only focuses on teaching specific skills, but they’ll also help our students build positive social relationships with their peers. Here's some basic information about each with more details to come!
Cross Country - Cross Country is a wonderful interscholastic program offered here at Camden. Our runners will learn how to compete in an organized sport against other schools in the district and state. The competitive season takes place in the fall, but the team also trains and conditioners during the winter and spring season. Contact the school for more information or click this link for a registration form.
Climbing Club - Camden is fortunate to have a 20 foot Rock Climbing Wall in its gymnasium along with two High Ropes Courses. Students in 4th and 5th grade will have the opportunity to sign up for Climbing Club this fall to build their muscular strength and endurance and flexibility. They'll also learn about problem solving skills, trust and teamwork as they tackle the challenge of climbing! More information will be sent home from Ms. Schomburg this school year.
Chorus - Mrs. Hull will offer chorus to grades 2 through 5 this year. Our students will learn to express themselves through vocal performance and choreography. Mrs. Hull will be sending out more details about signing up this school year.
Art Club - Our new Art Teacher, Ms. Kahmann, will be offering an Art Club this year for our students. Visual art is an important aspect of self expression and exploration and is an awesome opportunity for our students to create magnificent pieces beyond the Art Curriculum. Additional information will be sent home from Ms. Kahmann throughout the year with details regarding the sign up process.
Basketball - Intramural Basketball is offered to our 5th graders at Camden Station. The season will begin this January; and although it's only offered to our 5th graders as participants, all grade levels are encouraged to be spectators at our season games! More information including how and when to sign up will come home later this fall. Contact Ms. Schomburg with any questions or concerns.
