Summer Reading Club!
Camden Station will be hosting its first ever Reading Celebration on Friday, August 17th, and it will be an event that you won’t want to miss! We will be having ice cream sundaes and raffling off prizes for all those who participate. All you have to do is to read your text of choice and fill in a star for every 30 minutes that you read, for a total of 10 hours. Return this paper to school the first week we return. (Additional handouts can be found on our website.)
At Camden, we know the importance of reading over the summer. “Children who do not read in the summer lose two to three months of reading development while kids who read tend to gain a month of reading proficiency,” according to Richard Allington. We want all of our Camden Eagles to be strong readers, so we hope you will fill out the sheet below and join our Reading Celebration in August!

Staff of the Year: Mrs. Amy Vought

Congratulations to Mrs. Amy Vought, the 2011-2012 Camden Station's Classified Staff of the Year. Mrs. Vought works tirelessly to take care of many of our Eagles, all the while with a huge smile on her face. She wears many "hats" in our building and gives 110% to everything she does. She is a wonderful representative of Camden's welcoming spirit. Congratulations Mrs. Vought. We are lucky to have you as a part of our staff!
