The Oldham County Adult Education Center offers a variety of
programs to encourage and enhance adult learning in a non-threatening and
stimulating environment. Whether you are interested in working toward your GED,
want to improve your skills to return to college or want to refresh math or
writing skills to enable you to better help your children with their homework,
we have the program for you.
Perhaps you need to upgrade your math or
computer skills
to compete for that
promotion your company has open. We offer basic computer classes to get you
familiarized with the computer and introduce you to programs like word
processing and spreadsheets.
Our program offers
English as a Second Language classes and
civics classes. Most of our programs are offered Free of charge! Call us today
for more information.
Perhaps you would like to do most of your GED study online.
After you have come into our center and we can determine exactly what areas on
which you need to concentrate, we have limited slots for
online study.

Ask about our PASS
Program
(Preparing Adults to
Succeed in School)
There's a new program in town
that will help adults achieve goals for a higher
education. It's called PASS (Preparing Adults to
Succeed in School). Participants will receive
assistance that helps prepare adults for college
or help those who have been to college but
didn't finish. This program is open to anyone
who has completed a high school program or
his/her GED.
You will:
- Learn How to Complete Financial Aid Forms
- Take a Career Inventory to Explore Job
Interests
- Discover Your Learning Style
- Learn about Study Skill Strategies & Time
Management
- Complete assessments in math, reading, and
language to determine your readiness for college
level courses.
- Identify the Educational Institution that will
work for you
